ISE Polishing Up New “Topaz” Exchange by Sarah Rudolph, JLN The International Securities Exchange is a few steps closer to making the already crowded field of U.S. options exchanges even more crowded. On March 1, 2013, the Securities & Exchange Commission issued an order granting “exemptive relief” for ISE’s second options exchange, tentatively known as Topaz. This would bring the number of U.S. options exchanges to 12. All four SEC commissioners have signed off on the filing and it can now be published for comments, according to an ISE spokesman.
